International Travel with Your Pet
When traveling with your pet outside of the United States, a microchip may be required. The AKC CAR (Trovan) microchip can be read at the ports of entry in many foreign countries including the European Union, Japan, and Australia. Each country establishes requirements for animal entry, and these regulations can be found by visiting the USDA website here.
